Twitter Feed Setup

Configure your Twitter account details via AppearanceTheme OptionsSocial MediaTwitter Feed.

Enter your Twitter account details within this area, after inserting your Twitter Username.

If you're experiencing issues displaying your Tweets, you will need to setup a Twitter App by following the instructions below.

 

  1. First go to https://dev.twitter.com/apps and sign in with your Twitter login details.
  2. Click the Create A New Application button.
  3. Fill out the required fields. The name and description fields can be anything. You can leave the Callback URL field empty too.
  4. Once created, click Create My Access Token button to generate the necessary codes.
  5. Click the OAuth tab and you will see the 4 items required; consumer key, consumer secret, access token, access token secret.
  6. Copy and paste the required items into the corresponding Twitter fields within AppearanceTheme OptionsSocial MediaTwitter Feed.( See diagram above ).
  7. Click Save Options.
  8. The Twitter Feed can be enabled site wide use Twitter Display or per page, under PagesSocialTwitter Feed

Note: There is a 10 minute cache on Twitters end, so it may take 10 minutes for your new Twitter feed to show on your site. If nothing happens after 10 minutes, please clear your browser cache before you post for support.

Enable Social Icons Globally

Goto Appearance → Theme Options → Social Media

Enable Social Icons

Social Icons can be enabled Globally via this tab, set the Icon(s), Color and Share Icon. These settings can be overriden on a Page by Page basis.

Main RSS Feed

Main RSS Feed

Enter your own RSS feed URL into the box and it will appear on every page.

This RSS feed is for the whole website. If you want to have an RSS feed for a specific page, you would need to enter your RSS feed URL into the social media button links, as mentioned above, and then enable it within pages.

To add a title to your RSS feed, simply type in your desired title into the 'Main RSS Title' box.

Goto Appearance → Theme Options → Social

Social Media Button Links

If you want to use the social media buttons, you must add your own URL into the boxes and then enable them within pages.

Leave the fields blank to restore default URL's.
